Proctoring Services

Occasionally students or members of the community need to take an exam in a supervised setting. Perhaps they are taking a course via correspondence and need a final exam supervised. Perhaps they are applying to a program that uses their own admission test. Whatever the reason, the Counseling & Testing Center offers space and supervisory personnel for administering exams.

Scheduling
This service is offered on an appointment basis as is contingent on availability of rooms and personnel. Arrangements can be made by calling 208-885-5138 or by stopping by CEB 301.

Fees
Fees are determined based on the testing program and your status with regard to being a UI student.  For purposes of this fee structure, a UI student is defined as someone who is enrolled in a degree seeking program at the University of Idaho for a minimum of 8 undergraduate or 6 graduate credits.

Fees (Non UI courses/programs )
The fee for this service is $30 for up to 2 hours.  For exams longer than 2 hours, the fee is $10 per hour for each additional hour or portion of an hour.

Fees (Non UI students and UI courses/programs or UI Student and Non UI courses/programs)
The fee for this service is a flat $10 per hour.  This includes Independent Study in Idaho and part-time/non-degree seeking students.

Fees (UI students and UI courses)
The fee for this service is $5 per credit hour of the course (minimum fee of $10 per class). This service is designed for UI Students taking a UI distance, online, or video course.

Students who want to take their exams outside the normal classroom can also apply to use this service.  This is typically extended for conditions such as test anxiety which do not meet the criteria for disability qualification and is only available to students who have the written consent of their professors. You can pick up a form at the CTC or you can download it by clicking here
